The Twister is a great solo canoe. It is a model that could be described as "freestyle" since it is extremely easy to turn. It is also popular with canoeing enthusiasts but is also suitable for short excursions. Its' large girth allows it to pivot very quickly. Like most of our models, this canoe is built in red cedar. The interior skeleton is in white cedar, the gunwales are in ash and the parts are made of mahogany. Our benches are woven with sinew in the traditional way. The hull is covered with a fiberglass canvas and an epoxy coating, all coated with marine varnish with protection against ultraviolet rays.
