Rhéaume Prospector 16' Cedar Canoe

Like our 16'6 composite Prospector, this model, widely marketed by several other brands over the years, is a very popular one. Its maneuverability is very easy thanks to its high girth, even when fully loaded. The construction of its hull makes it responsive and ready to avoid obstacles.

A beginner or expert paddler will appreciate it, especially since it can be paddled both in tandem and solo. Like most of our models, this canoe is built in red cedar. The interior skeleton is in white cedar, the gunwales are in ash and the parts are made of mahogany. Our benches are woven with sinew in the traditional way. The hull is covered with a fiberglass canvas and an epoxy coating, all coated with marine varnish with protection against ultraviolet rays.
